that women have never have had a shot to get ahead. Well, perhaps if he hadn’t run, some might have gotten a fair shot. Reminds me of Jimmy Kimmel lamenting the plight of blacks while holding the whitest, most male (and most Northwestern) job in America today, That of late-night talk show host.

It’s not equality that women want. It’s power. And that is perfectly acceptable, and natural. 99.9% of bricklayers are men. Is society bent up about this?
It’s equality of opportunity that women want, including opportunity to hold power. That’s what we all want and it’s a perfectly reasonable expectation. We have been a white male dominated society and as other constituencies are fighting to create a more level playing field, many white males are kicking and screaming. Predictable but no longer acceptable.

You seem to conveniently forget that a highly qualified white woman got a fair shot to become President from the Democratic Party in 2016 and she lost to the least qualified and worst person ever to run for President in the history of our country. That happened in large part because there is a healthy segment of our country that is still misogynistic and can’t bring themselves to put a woman in charge even if she is clearly the best person for the job. A woman’s time will come soon but at this point we needed someone who is the antithesis of Trump and Joe Biden is the right person for the job.

Yes. Social hierarchies have a tendency to hold onto their power.
