Prior to the travel I put a stopwatch to the inbounds attempt that resulted in a timeout. Didn't start until the Michigan player had the ball in his hands. It wasn't five seconds. It was over five seconds and I timed it twice.

I did not time the previous attempt which looked ok.

On the travel. The player had both hands on the ball. He took three steps and then both feet came off the floor. Air in between both feet and the hardwood with the ref on top of the play.

I think Collins looks past one of those but two in succession is really something. And B Mac was grabbed on a drive a couple minutes prior and no call.

But crap happens.

I did want to post a more positive question. Where's the love on this board for Falzon's defense, or are we only capable of applauding a shot that goes in. Falzon is a pretty effective defender, moves his feet well, has length and fights for the ball. He seems to have total court awareness at both ends and knows what everyone is supposed to be doing.

I really like this kid beyond the shooting, He plays like a junior.

I haven't studied it, but even after the travel the player was trapped deep in the corner and falling out of bounds - I didn't see the foul, but maybe there was contact. In the one sense the foul benefited NU with more time on the clock, but the player was in trouble and was close to turning it over.

It is what keeps him on the court ahead of TAP.
