Justin Jackson will likely miss the rest of spring practice with a lower body injury sustained this week in practice according to insideNU

Crapola! Hope it's just an ankle sprain or something minor. I guess this gives the staff a chance to have a better look at Auston Anderson during the Spring practices although druther not have it happen this way.

No big deal unless it's something where we get to wonder exactly how close he is to 100% by the fall.

He missed practice yesterday. I was told that it's nothing to be concerned about.

Pushing it just a wee bit there... you think Lowry, Harris, or VanHoose really have to "earn" their spots this spring?

Not to be a pessimist but ankle sprains take forever to heal and are easily reaggravated. I hope it is something else.

Where do you get your info. from? I had a number of sprained ankles in my athletic career and they were not that bad, at least they weren't for me. Of course they swelled up like beach balls and it was tough to walk and getting a skate on was impossible. But once the swelling went down, while there was discomfort,I played through it. If that is what it is, holding him out the rest of spring is the right move and by later this summer he'll be 100%.

I get it from two separate times in my life that I sprained my ankle and two different MD's said that if it were broken they could repair it but because it was "just a sprain" there wasn't much to do for it. I did Olympic Triathlons for 15 years before the second one. That was the end of that.

I hate it when that happens. Technically, though, I suppose this would qualify as a upper body injury.
