2) Falzon impressed me with his ability to drive to the basket. This should pay dividends when opponents have to respect both this and his ability to hit the 3.
I gotta disagree on this one. I'm glad we saw him finally be aggressive to the basket, but I thought, "Oh, that's why we haven't seen this." I thought he looked tentative, out of control and not very polished on several of those drives. Those double-pumps really limit any size advantage.
But then again, he is a freshman.

Also kept trying to drive the middle in the first half and consistently got shots swatted away by the Maryland trees underneath. That helped get us into an early hole as several of those aborted drives led to breakout baskets for Maryland. Dakich had it right when he said some of our players need to discover the 15-foot jump shot once they penetrate the first line of defense. We aren't the only team guilty of that as it's become something of a lost art in college BB.
