It was a blow to the back of the head , Right? Hit it on the table? That is a dangerous place to get a concussion. Hopefully they were just taking every precaution.

I thought he turned an ankle or something like that.

Guess you might be right. Collins said it was an upper body inhury and added that he had stomach trouble in the first half.

Sound like he banged his head...add that to him vomiting (a bug) at the half, and they kept him out. Fingers crossed it was precautionary & he'll be fine.

Well maybe the head thing wasn't it and he landed funny on his shoulder. I just thought he hit his head.

How on earth was that not a foul? A dangerous play. But the refs were awful all day as it was.

They have starched the college game too much. This is a physical game not a ballet. Sheesh!!

That was one of the few they got right, it was all ball. But in general an awful day for the refs. Again.

Agreed. I suspected a foul but on replay thought it was all ball. Good no call on that one.

However... normally I expect players to try to adjust to how a game is called, but I can't blame players from both teams for having no idea what the refs were doing today.

Yeah...they were absolutely brutal, for both teams (although Depaul got A LOT MORE FTs than we did. Thankfully, they don't know how to shoot them!). This kind of reffing happens waaaaay to much anymore.

Don't they usually stop play when an injured player is on the floor?
They generally wait for a convenient spot to stop play. Don't want to take away an advantage during play moving to basket but will stop it if that advantage is not pressed

They also called 10 more fouls on NU so not just brutal but pretty one sided.

I'm guessing Law wasn't expecting a FREAKIN TABLE there and was more stunned than anything. He did not return to the bench as far as I could see, so it certainly could have been a concussion.

Not the first time NU was outshot at the line:
LaSalle 6-6
GaTech 4-5
Purdue 3-5
DePaul 3-5

The least number of FTs an NU opponent has shot is 15.

Got to do a better job of forcing the action and getting to the line. NU has some good FT shooters,

I thought he knocked his head on the table. He looked stunned as he sat there. No indication that he hurt his ankle.
Law left the game, unbeknown to most, prior to him banging his head on the floor. Fairly early in the game, he quickly....and I mean quickly, went to an immediate exit. His father noticed and went down to check on him. The NU trainers and NU bench kept looking back to see where he went. Me and Ubercat were in the first row above the tunnel that he left. It appeared to me that he had diaharea Sp? (don't mean to be crude but just saying). He had a tough time when he came back on the bench. I saw him take a tablet but he looked to fight vomiting. The pill that he took must have calmed down his stomach or whatever it was regarding this flulike actions. Then he went back in, and I guess hit his head on a drive. At least, he was sick prior, but he must have hit his head afterwards. But if you watch the tape, Law left the court and raced through the tunnel long before he apparently hit his head on a drive.

Many people noticed it, since he missed a ton of game action. I commented on it in the other thread
