The 'Cats pulled away in the second half yesterday at Lakeside Field to beat the Buffs. We have two very talented freshman who are just fun to watch. Selena Lasota and Corinne Wessels have the capability of dominating a game on offense. Lasota, a threat to score whenever she has the ball, has the most powerful shot I have ever seen in women's lacrosse. She played box lacrosse in high school against boys in British Columbia (sort of like hockey played with a ball in stead of a puck). Even when face guarded and double teamed, she leads the team in goals scored. Wessels is a great distributor and assist specialist, whose skills complement those of Lasota.

If you want to see women's lacrosse played at a high level, our next home game will be Sunday, March 22 at noon against Syracuse.

Highlights

Uber, just watched those highlights. What's the deal with the girls throwing their sticks after goals? As you know, I've been to a few of these, but I don't remember seeing that before. Is this some sort of new tradition, or have I just been missing it all along?
