Let's take all the Freshman and committed high school players and come up with the player that you hope they'll remind you of.

Jordan Ash: Aaron Craft. Tough on ball defender that developed his offensive game over his career.
Aaron Falzon: Larry Bird... OK a very poor man's Larry Bird. Great outside shooter.
Derek Pardon: Ben Wallace.... Undersized big man who got the job done with strength, length and toughness

Barrett Benson: Hakeem Olajuwon... yes again, a very poor man's Hakeem, but we're having fun with this. Big man, but kind of lanky. Good food work and post moves.
Isiah Brown: Isiah Brown. I don't know much about this kid, but a PG named Isiah? Who else.
Rapolas Ivanauskas: Keith Van Horn. I don't know, but I remember liking Van Horn's game when I saw him play once in the mid 90's for the Utes. He could shoot, drive, use his length.

Everyone feel free to go with some big names or keep it a little more realistic.

Based on everything I've seen:

Jordan Ash: Ash Carter. Same name, Ash, and focus on defense (just based on your comment).
Aaron Falzon: A calzone. Italian delicacy. Is he Italian?
Derek Pardon: World B. Free. Pardon? I just like the name World B. Free.
Barrett Benson: Gary Barnett. Did you watch 30 on 30 last night on Bill McCartney? Neat to see GB from back in the day. That was a really great show on the CU renaissance (Italian)
Isiah Brown: Isaiah Brown. Or Downtown Freddie Brown.
Rapolas Ivanauskas: Rapolas Ivanauskas Peace. RIP.

We play this game before we have even seen an exhibition game in which these guys have played?

I'll play.

Ash: Hinrich. Combo guard. D-up.
Falzon: Shawn Marion. Stretch 4. Shoots.
Pardon: Kris Humphries. Boards. Bangs celebrities, for a short time, anyway.

Benson: pick-a-Plumlee. The best one. Surprising athleticism for a big dude.
Brown: Stockton. Point guard from Washington state.
Rapolas: DeMarre Carroll. Steps out. But plays bigger than he is. Clutch.

I have seen nobody, and know very little. But I succeeded in the 'different race' challenge, which is a fun one. Every white dude can't be Bird! (But every talk Euro should be Kukoc. Or Porzingas (sp?) if they're tall and badass.)

Why can't we do the guys on the team and what we expect out of them this year:

Alex Olah: Pau Gasol. I think we will see Olah up his game tremendously offensively this year and his game will resemble the Spaniard's.
JvZ: Tyson Chandler
Scottie Lindsey: Poor man's Michael Jordan. He's long, athletic, can shoot, can play D
Tre Demps: Stefan Curry. Lights out, clutch
Vic Law: Metta World Peace - plays D, rebounds, limited on the offensive end
Aaron Falzon: Klay Thompson. Splash, splash
Bryant MacIntosh: Mark Price

Man we are going to be awesome this year.

Those are very good. Except for Law......Metta World Peace is an absolute whack job. Hope Vic doesn't model himself after him.

You can do whatever you want. The other day, I was thinking about the team and what I heard about the incoming guys. I heard Ash was an athletic pitbull and a great on ball defender. My instant thought was, "That sounds like Aaron Craft as a freshman. I hope he develops the same way over 4 years." Then I started thinking about the other recruits.

The reason why I didn't do the old guys on the team is because I watch more NU basketball than any other team and more college basketball than the NBA. As such, the guys Olah, Lindsey, Demps, and McIntosh remind me of are Olah, Lindsey, Demps, and McIntosh... respectively of course.

I had JVZ as DeAndre Jordan. I also don't see Vic Law as limited on the offensive end.

OK Sanjay = Metta World Peace
Law = a tough one. Maybe Byron Russell? Hopefully he ups his offensive game and is a Jimmy Butler.
