Lose at home against Illinois, beat Wisconsin on the road

I am convinced we lost to the Illini becase Groce somehow convinced his players that his job would be saved if they won, which it won't. They haven't played that well in weeks, and played just terribly at home as a follow-up to their win vs. us.

This has been one crazy college hoops season. Lots of good players all around the country and with the parity, hot or cold shooting can tell the tale. Finke got hot against us while Koenig has hit a wall lately (SI jinx?). For us, Gavin has gone cold from deep otherwise we likely beat Illini despite Finke. Maryland was ice cold from deep at Penn State and lost convincingly. Let's hope they have another one of those nights Wednesday.

Agree, handle the "pumpkinheads" on the road and take care of Rutgers and Michigan at home. Anything else is gravy. Oh and then then get tickets for the tourney.

So, what's your point? It happens to every team from time to time. And the Wisconsin win weighs at least twice as much as the Illinois loss.

So there! :p

This is exactly right. Most every team (except the Gonzagas of the world, this year) will lose a game that they should have won. You just gotta get one back that you "should" have lost. Here it was, and it means a lot more in the aggregate than the loss.
