just ran into coach Ayeni at the Cleveland airport and chatted him up for a bit. Great guy who obviously still loves NU. Says he still talks to FItz all the time and would love to wear the purple again if the opportunity presents itself. We talked about Re Al Mitchell and he agreed with my assessment that Mitchell is as good or better than Kain pre shoulder injury in High School. He's very excited to have him at ISU and believes the kid will star early. Also said he loves Deion Smith but was not sure if NU or ISU could get him because he is starting to blow up. Apparently UCLA just offered Smith. We also had a good chuckle at the train wreck that is happening in Champaign.
