If anyone is on notice it is the AD. I read that this was their lowest attendance for an opener since like the 40s. The guy might bleed orange but he is a D3 AD that took over a dumpster fire. You need someone with a proven record to turn that ship around.

The Ill-Annoy hired because he comes cheap, former player and they wanted to get rid of their former AD Thomas. This AD fired Beckman’s replacement and then with the blessing of the higher ups hired Lovie.

Lovie is on the Hot Seat and probably the AD too.

You do realize that NU beat a Big Ten team , on the road, right? The illini almost lost to one of the two worst teams in the MAC at home.

Kent State is a pretty good team. Was impressed by how the Illini held composure.

Don't really want to start another new Illinois thread, but news came out today that Mike Dudek hurt his knee again and is out for the year. Really tough break for that kid, who's faced nothing but knee problems. Hope he's able to recover and a lead a healthful life.

Soon Illinois won't have enough players to field a team. Think they 5 or 6 guys with indefinite suspensions and two who didn't academically qualify and are redshirting. Now another injury. Lovie might love getting out of Champaign He wife certainly would.
