MacIntosh playing like a boss

That was the single best PG play i have seen since a juice thompson game a long time ago.
i didnt see the statline but he must have had 1l0 pts in a row and 20 pts in second half????

i thought for sure this was a goner.
Yep, Turk, I had this marked down as a loss with about 5:00 left. Columbia seemed to have an answer every time we made a run. They were a very good, veteran team that would definitely beat some Big Ten teams if they played in the league this season. McIntosh is playing like a senior (maybe it helps that he is 21 years old) and he has willed the team to victory the last two games. Now we need some other guys to contribute more. Skelly's performance was a good start!

BMac's 1-on-5 offense was amazing and distressing all at the same time.

Must develop a bench. We will grind Mac and Demps into mulch by January at this pace.

Need to play them both now if you expect anything out of them later. Maybe Vasser can come out of retirement.

My hope is that when we play New Orleans on the 28th, we can play both Ash and Lindsay a ton in the backcourt and give the main 2 some time off (probably never happen though...).

First off, BMac is my favorite player on the team right now. I couldn't be more excited about how he's playing.

While it's certainly not ideal to play Tre 45 minutes and BMac 43 minutes, I'm not at all concerned about running them ragged before the B10 season. Have you looked at our schedule after this week? It'll actually be interesting to see how this messageboard responds to an entire month of wins over ineffectual opponents. I'm sure NJCat will pretend that (1-3) Depaul is the second coming of the Golden State Warriors and that Virginia Tech who lost to (kenpom #273) Alabama State is something other than a gift of an ACC/B1G Challenge opponent. But every other team we play between Thanksgiving and the start of the B1G season is in the 210-350 range of kenpom rankings. There's no sugar-coating it. If we're going to challenge for a spot in the Tournament, we'll have to be one of the best 50 teams in the country. Collins will have all the freedom in the world to play around with the lineup and give guys opportunities to show what they can do. BMac and Demps should be fresh and chomping at the bit to play against a real basketball team come January.

I sure hope we see Ash and Lindsey get between 15 and 20 minutes a game during that stretch. They need to be more than cameo players by the time conference season rolls around v

We are one bad guard injury away from a total step back season.

Not saying Vasser is the next big thing, but Ash hasn't gained the trust of the staff, Lindsey has been hanging on the bench - another true PG would be a nice security blanket.

Boy would I love to know the real facts behind Vasser. Heywood, where are you man?

Unfair. The ONLY non-UNC OOC game I pointed out to watch for before the season started was Columbia, based upon their strong game against Kentucky last year and the return of 2 good players who were out with injuries last season. And I was right. I don't blow smoke up your butt trying to pump teams up who really aren't any good.

And by the way, Columbia beat a historically strong Lehigh team by 27 yesterday (and Lehigh lost @Syracuse earlier in the season by just 10). Just sayin'.......
