Marquette Scrimmage

I saw 4 pictures on Twitter, so I am definitely an authority on this:
  • Scotty will be a beast this year. He will be able to create his shot off the dribble at s much more efficient rate and his added strength will go far in improving his finishing.
  • Bmac will have his highest APG of his career. Really looking to distribute off the drive. Fewer floaters.
  • Rap will not see extended time.
  • Coach Collins is the real deal and the community of coaches knows it.

A Marquette write up.

Also, apparently Law, Falzon, Brown did not play. Cue panic.
Thanks for the link.

In full panic mode now.

I suspect it’s just precautionary for Law and brown But Falzon is a little worrisome

Law and Falzon are fine. Brown had an injury to leg (not knee), which was still swollen yesterday, but started practicing on Friday just not ready for game play yet. All should be fine for the start of the season. As for the game, we were down 6 at the end of the first half we played. Then played two 6 minutes end-of-game scenarios. In the first we tied, and we won the second by 7. Played a few more scenarios after that.

Thanks much. Nice to get this summary.

We need Falzon at 100%! What has happened to Rap? Is he not playing well? I am really disappointed. I thought for sure that he would be a star for us.

Rap is slow but will contribute this year. He is further along than Skelly was this early in his career. Give him time to settle in and he will be a better version of skelly.

Is this a first-hand report?

If accurate, we won overall by one point. :)

Maybe let him play a minute of college basketball before calling Rap a dud. He also has a lot of depth in front of him.

He didn't call Rap a dud. He probably just had really high hopes for the redshirt frosh and is concerned because his name hasn't been mentioned much. I can forgive him for that...

OMG, this NU team looks terrible. Every shot Marquette took went in....a minute or so of scrimmage tape...when NU athletics gets ahold of this they'll turn it into much tighter shots, do everything in slo mo, and add dramatic music
