You are exactly right. I believe it was Stupor who said there was no way he'd make it because he doesn't hit it far enough. My apologies to him if I've got that wrong. Regardless, the kid can flat-out play. Following him around at one of his college events you could see he was in a different league. There is no doubt he could've helped get the cats to the upper echelon of college golf, and his departure hurt us, but Pat Goss has gotten past it so I can too. The kid is on his way to making millions (already has made a million and this is his rookie year) and he admittedly had little interest in school over golf so you can't blame him. Credit to Pat and Matt that they are maintaining a relationship which will certainly help us. Matt used a Northwestern putter cover today with an N-Cat on it. Go 'Cats! Go Matty Fitz!
College golf for Matt? Are you kidding me? The only young player playing as well as him is current number one Jordan Spieth! Matt will be top 15-20 next year. He is a balls to the wall, go getter,who has more upside than Donald! The kid hits it plenty far and is deadly accurate. The hard part is over,making the tour. Look for a major splash next year. Donald is getting back on track and will be fine also. Bob
I read that Matt is the youngest player in history to crack the top 100 in OWGR (and he is 59 right now). That includes guys like Tiger. Not bad.
