theyre so much better than they were last year, it's ridiculous.

I hope to feel better than this tomorrow, but so far I see us being one of the best teams not in the tournament. Fortunately, there's a long way to go.

Positives: Mac's offense was back tonight.

Pardon looked good. A little rust, but I'm very encouraged.

Kept out of foul trouble, except for Lumpkin, but that had a big impact. We were ok but not great defensively, but at least we were ok without having to foul a lot until the last 60 seconds.

I know they are not the two "Ws" that I thought NU could this year. That's too bad.

It's also too bad that Lil' Richie is having the slightest bit of success. I'm not a fan.

I'd prefer if NU looked like a tournament team. The jury is out on this one

Still a lot of basketball to be played for both NU and Minnesota, but there is no doubt that the leap Minnesota has made from last year to this year is quite significant. They have got athleticism, size, and a couple guys that can put the ball in the bucket. I wouldn't say they are great at anything, but they are good at most aspects of the game. Coffey is already a nice player, and will only get better. He's going to be a really good one- so much length. And having a guy like Mason who can hit eight straight free throws to end the game is huge. The rest of the team needs to work on their free throw shooting, but there was zero doubt he was making all of those free throws. He looked as cool as can be.

Tough loss- doesn't change my opinion on this NU team, but no doubt it makes the road to the tourney a little bit harder.

Coffey. His sister is a star on the WBB team and wondering if NU requited him. If not, why not??

He didn't get an offer from NU nor any of the upper tier academic D1 schools. Doesn't mean that his academics weren't up to snuff, could have reflected his particular interests.

I think that was 3 season ago.....

Then here's a little more recent history for you. Remember when you overreacted to the Penn State loss and wanted to bet the rent that we would lose to them in State College? We'll, you're doing the same thing now, imo.

In that light, care to wager on Nebby? I assume you will be taking Nebraska and I will be taking the Cats given your recent posts....Will have to think of something else that will be fun to wager besides screennames, though, since, well, we already took care of that...

Nice discipline for not taking the bet, btw.
