Nice write-up Lou. Only one quibble - the 'Cats were not 13.5 point underdogs. At game-time the Vegas line ad us as 6.5 point dogs. Great win in any event!Northwestern ran for 378 yards to beat Illinois, 29-10, and win the Land of Lincoln Trophy for the fifth straight year.

Well I think it started a fair amount higher. And then moved down to 6 or so at kickoff. Heck of a game by the Cats. You're absolutely right. Not sure where I got 13.5 from. Thanks for the edit.
Keeping the defense rested was almost as impressive as getting points on the board by the Wildcat offense.
That said, excellent play by the defense to cap off their laudable play all season.

Actually, it started at 8.5 and then worked its way up to 10.5. When it was pretty clear that Illinois' starting QB would not play, the line began going down. By game time the Vegas line worked its way down to 'Cats plus 6.5.Think it started at 10 &1/2
