To KenPom #220 Samford. Only second time I've caught them this year (first time was against Miami, where they played extremely well, Miami played terribly, but Nebby lost in OT), so can't draw much in the way of conclusions. However, in both games it appears Shields received less help than his teammates than he did last year. Control him and opponents can probably control the game
In this one Samford had a big lead, Nebby cut it to 5 somewhat late, but never got closer. Looking like Samford played about as well as they are capable of playing, but not at the level that DePaul played against us. Nebby would have certainly appreciated a close win in this one rather than losing by 11!
So, based on these observations, they are inconsistent, and I like our chances in the BIG opener. Anyone see any other Nebby games?
