Monday morning, a seventh-year Nebraska Huskers player decided to enter the NCAA’s transfer portal. Yes, you read that correctly – a seventh-year college football player will be entering the transfer portal.

Will Honas, a seventh-year linebacker for the Huskers football program, has decided to pursue other options moving forward.

Sean Callahan of Rivals.com first reported the news.

Reminds me of the movie Road Trip. Tom Green was a 9 year dorm resident assistant.

This is probably a low key big advantage for some teams in a way that's a little hard to track.

He is a good player. Wouldn’t mind him at all.

Hopefully with similar success.

Had TJ Green stayed wouldn't it have worked out to seven years for him too?

AT NU you could get an undergrad degree and joint MBA-JD in that time.

Not that you could handle the law school and playing load but....technically....

Ben Johnson might have to limit the amount he plays, or at least how much he accepts for NIL, due to Social Security earning limits.

Exactly. I believe this will make Ben the first player in history to play D1 football in three different decades. How about that, Wrassler?

Just to show how old we all are, that movie was filmed around 33 years after WWII ('was it over when the...Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?"), and the movie came out 44 years ago. I remember sneaking into the theatre with 2 buddies and 2 six packs of Lowenbrau.

Lowenbrau?? Yup, you are old, Dawg.... and I'm right there with you.
