NU QB commit Jason Whittaker texted me back tonight. He did not play the last two weeks because of an injury. I don't know what it was -- he hasn't replied again, as of yet. But he just go cleared by doctors this morning and will play on Friday night, his Homecoming game.
Hopefully I'll get a chance to talk to him soon to get the full story, but at least we now know there was a reason for the curious news we were getting in the Recruit Roundups.
