Remember Nolan Jones? He was NU's director of football operations until 2011. He was at NU for six years the first time around (he started just a few months before Randy Walker died). He left to take the same job at Kentucky, and then went to Southern Miss briefly before taking the DFO job at Michigan. He was in Ann Arbor for about one year and is now back at NU as the assistant director of player personnel. It may be a step down for him career-wise (that's what often happens with coaching changes), but it's great for NU to have a guy with all that experience in that role.
