The 'Cats stunned nearly everyone by re-enacting the Massacre of Sparta in East Lansing this past Saturday, in a record-setting 54-40 victory for our beloved 'Cats.
This coming weekend, the action starts at NOON EASTERN on Saturday, Oct. 22 at Blackfinn-Merrifield at 2750 Gallows Road, Vienna VA as the 'Cats face off against the Indiana Hoosiers on NU's Homecoming weekend. We have a couple of interesting new wrinkles to offer the Wildcat faithful:
SPECIAL GUEST WILDCAT PLAYER. One of our outstanding players from the recent past has been invited to join us, and tells us he plans to attend. He was one of our most accomplished Wide Receivers from 2004-2007, with a distinguished career under both Randy Walker and Pat Fitzgerald. He currently serves as a NU Club Officer (in the position of Club Secretary in Washington, D.C.) and we are delighted to welcome him this weekend. Come prepared with your best Wildcat Football questions on Saturday!
Please keep in mind there is plenty of FREE PARKING at Blackfinn-Merrifield, and you can choose from a bar menu of over 150 brews on tap, as well as an excellent restaurant menu. We particularly recommend the outstanding soups that are made from scratch by Blackfinn's excellent chef, as they have been consistently incredible.
The Auburn Horde does not have its game until 6pm, so we should have relative peace and quiet, as well as an excellent chance of hearing the sound for Northwestern's own game. We have asked to be located in the quieter and more comfortable “Restaurant Area” of Blackfinn.
PLEASE PLAN TO JOIN US FOR ALL THE FUN! Our beloved 'Cats are seeking to improve to 3-1 in the Conference (4-3 overall) and a tie for Second Place in the B1G-West. If you can't be in Evanston this weekend, then coming out to Merrifield is the next best thing for NU Homecoming fun and games!!
