Northwestern takes on the Cornhuskers with an opportunity to lock up the number nine seed in the Big Ten with a Senior Day victory.

Northwestern missed its first four shots before Tre Demps broke the lid on the basket with a spot-up 3. Nebraska's starting center Michael Jacobson picked up two quick fouls, and the Wildcats lead 5-4 at the first media timeout

Tre Demps has done a little bit of everything so far, finishing a fast-break layup, knocking down another 3 and now a floater in the lane. He has 10 of the Wildcats' 18 points as they take an 18-11 lead into the second media timeout. Nebraska meanwhile has missed countless perimeter shots, now shooting 5-for-16 on the day. They tried going to a full-court press, but Northwestern has broken it relatively easily thus far

Falzon knocks down a free throws after Nebraska head coach Tim Miles in whistled for a technical, then Scottie Lindsey finishes an acrobatic layup to push the lead to 22-11. Now a 13-0 run by the Wildcats

Gotta wait for end of PSU vs. Ill - don't have Big Ten to go. Whatta time for these two dogs to get competitive.

Stupid Illinos game now in 2nd OT. There down by 8 with 18 sec. to go and still on BTN.

Northwestern has made 8 of its last 10 shots, maintaining a 22-11 lead heading into the under-8 timeout

Tre Demps finishes a tough and-one layup but misses the free throw, pushing his point total to 12 on the afternoon. Alex Olah has finished some nice touches in the post, and he is up to eight points, five rebounds and a pair of blocks thus far. Northwestern's two seniors have more points than the Cornhuskers combined, and the Wildcats lead 29-15 at the under-4 timeout. The only knock on Northwestern so far has been taking care of the ball, as they already six turnovers against eight assists. Otherwise, they're shooting nearly 30 percent better from the field and out rebounding Nebraska by four

Dererk Pardon's three rebounds have all been on the offensive end. His latest one led to a McIntosh and-one finish, and the Wildcats lead by 18 as the half winds down
