but the team that wins the battle of the trenches puts themselves in a great position to win.

The D-line stopped the Stanford run game, placing the game on Hogan's shoulders.

But the D-line sacked/pressured Hogan where he just looked uncomfortable all game (granted, his receives dropped some passes, but a lot of his throws were also off the mark).

If Thorson weren't a RS frosh in his 1st start, this game wouldn't have been close.

The D-line looked good and should get even better when Kuhar returns (if he is close to 100%).

The O-line was a bit inconsistent, but at times was able to get a good push; don't know if this means that the O-line is a good bit improved or if Stanford's D-line isn't that good (their best D-lineman being that Cal graduate transfer - man, that must be a bitter pill to swallow for Cal fans) - probably a bit of both.

Should get a better sense of the O-line w/ the Duke game (from what I saw, Park looked improved).
