Now I just became even more of a Knicks fan (hey it's where I grew up). Knicks sign Boo Buie!

I will likely never understand how NBA rosters and contracts work. good for Boo and I hope he can play his way onto the bench.

I cannot envision Boo making it onto the floor of a regular season NBA game, but I've certainly underestimated him before.

Well those two way contract guys basically get to sit on the end of the bench when guys are hurt or resting, and if a couple guys are hurt and resting at the same position maybe they get some garbage time or a small number of minutes. If there is a catastrophic injury situation maybe they play a lot.

But he gets over a half million dollars for this gig and gets identified as a priority to stick on the D League team as a prospect of interest. Even if it goes nowhere it's a great start to a lucrative career before going to Europe.

Well, that money is nice for him. But at least he's staying at the nice hotels with room service and all the women in New York have long legs and brains.

Well not yet, right now he's like a AAA guy who got added to the 40 man but is getting paid a half million dollars instead of $80k.
Two-way guys are on the active roster some nights. They often come sit on the bench for games if they aren't playing in their G League game. I think we can say he's made it to The Show.
