As far as I can tell, USA Today does release the ballots corresponding to the end-of-season coaches poll, but not the weekly ballots. If anyone thinks o/w please, post the link to the weekly ballots.

I suppose that if they released the weekly ballots it may negatively affect the integrity of the poll....think of retaliation votes, vote deals (I vote for you, you vote for me), etc.

As for UTx, perhaps one coach listed it as #21 (worth 4 points), or 4 listed it as #25, or .... etc, several combis are possible.

FWIW, it seems that neither the UTx HC nor the Illinois HC are members of the coaches panel.

I remember that Steve Spurrier always gave a vote to Duke at #25 at the beginning of the year (even when it wasn't deserved) for years. Not sure if he still does that. I'd expect the Illinois vote comes from something similar, or maybe from Iowa (they gave us a good game!) or their next opponent (that team coming in here is good!).
