Northwestern Baseball To Play Under The Lights At Wrigley Field On April 20

EVANSTON, Ill. -- In a unique opportunity for student-athletes and fans, Northwestern Athletics and the Chicago Cubs announced Monday that the first pitch for the Big Ten baseball game at Wrigley Field on April 20 will be at 6:05 p.m. CT. Tickets will go on sale Friday, March 15 at 10:00 a.m. CT through both the Northwestern box office and Tickets.com.

"We're so grateful to the entire Chicago Cubs organization for opening the doors to this historic venue and for allowing Chicago's Big Ten Team to play a game at their beautiful facility," said Northwestern head coach Paul Stevens. "Whether you grew up in Chicago or California, if you're a ballplayer, you've dreamt of one day playing at Wrigley Field, one of the iconic sporting venues in the world. Northwestern and Michigan will get that chance on a very special night and we're all looking forward to the occasion."

General admission tickets for this contest between the Wildcats and the Michigan Wolverines will be available for $7.00 on Friday through both the Northwestern box office and Tickets.com.

Fans are encouraged to come out early to enjoy the evening and watch the Wildcats and Wolverines take batting practice on the field. The Wrigley Field gates will open two hours prior to first pitch.

Last month, Northwestern Athletics and the Chicago Cubs announced an innovative, multi-year event and reciprocal marketing partnership that will showcase a wide range of Wildcats athletic programs at historic Wrigley Field in coming years, including baseball, lacrosse and five Wildcats football games.

It's not going to be anywhere close to a sell out so why not GA? Enjoy Wrigley and grab any seat you want. It will be a really fun night!
