Northwestern hazing scandal continues to grow

What started as just a flicker, a two-week suspension for Pat Fitzgerald on Friday, has mushroomed into a wildfire.

Sadly, too much smoke and too much corroboration for this not to be a thing.
I also found Fitz's statement to reek of maintaining deniability, rather than taking accountability as a leader. "I was disappointed when I heard". Then "we will continue to work..."

What about," I lead this team and should have known, so I failed first and foremost". Then "I will do better as a leader"

Sad - this is not the conclusion I would prefer to have reached.
