The Cats' zone should see success against a Penn State team that ranks last in the Big Ten in assists and relies largely on DJ Newbill to carry the offensive load

That is a good thought. If only we could defend against the three.

Why are the guards collapsing on the post man, it's leaving guys wide open from the top for 3.

Lions 4-for-5 against the worst three-point defense in the Big Ten

Hope it's nothing serious. He made a really nice play...you can see it start to happen for him...

Hard enough to watch this game with the unis but the announcers are not even calling the game

Ugly game. Law has been playing well, he's a very good rebounder. Olah is also playing with some confidence. One more block, big guy!

Demps with 4 freshmen on the court now. Newbil, leading scorer in Big Ten, has yet to score.

7-0 run from the ctas to take a 22-15 lead, DJ Newbill is scoreless to this point

I don't know much about BB, but it seems that PSU is taking bad shots early in the possessions.

Payton Banks. sounds like a Chicago sports star legend. His middle name needs to be Jordan.

Neither team scorching the nets, PSU 7-26 (27 percent) overall and 5-13 on three-pointers. NU hitting 10-26 (38.5 percent) overall and 3-11 on threes.
NU out-rebounded 21-16, but PSU has 9 turnovers to NU's 4.
Law, Sobo and Taphorn has produced 17 points off the bench.

Love to see the development of all the freshmen. Law appears to be getting more comfortable in the college game and Skelly does the little things well and is an excellent passer. Lindsey is a good athlete who is looking for his shot more and Mcintosh gets better each game. Hopefully we see Jhonny Vasser get some minutes next year

Looking more and more like the best decision would have been to redshirt him.

Yep - that was what I have been thinking.

While JV did help the 'Cats win that one gm early in the season, he is just too raw, but has the physical tools to be very good (and an excellent complement to BMac).

A season to hone his game/skills would have helped and then CC would have had him for a yr after BMac departs.
