Scottie Lindsey scored a career-high 26 points off the bench (9-12 overall, 6-7 3-pointers) in 27 minutes. Tre Demps (5 assists) scored 16 points, Bryant McIntosh (7 assists) 13 and Gavin Skelly 10. Alex Olah finished with 8 rebounds and 6 blocks. Jordan Ash played a career high 17 minutes and ran the team for last 8 minutes with Demps and BMac on the bench.

Chris Collins:
"I'm very pleased with the win. We had a lot of games this week in a short amount of time. I knew the crowd would be sparse tonight because of the football game, so the guys did a good job of generating their own energy at the beginning of the game. Tre (first 10 points) got us off to a good start and we just went from there.
"Scottie Lindsey was tremendous. I've said all along he was going to be an X-factor on this team.
"We got sloppy down the stretch (without Demps and McIntosh), but Jordan Ash got a chance to run the team. These were good teaching minutes for the younger players. Jordan has never had to be the primary ball handler, even in high school because he was playing alongside Glenn Watson (now at Nebraska).
"I thought our defense overall was very good. It was a big advantage having the taller front line and made things tough on them. Their best player (Gill) didn't even have a field goal tonight.''

Re: How his team measures up after this week. "We're still a work in progress. I'm pleased with the way we played in Kansas City. We beat Missouri 18 hours after playing North Carolina, which takes a toll on you because of their speed, physicality and athleticism. To come out and play like we did in the first half against Missouri says a lot about this group. We needed to get our legs back tonight and that was tough considering the Thanksgiving holiday.''

Re: Scottie Lindsey's role. "I'm OK with him starting or being the sixth man. I told him I wanted him to play the same role Tre did a couple of years ago when he was a super sub off the bench. He's still going to play starter's minutes.''

Re: Team's focus for New Orleans. "The players are well aware of some of the upsets Power 5 teams have suffered against mid-major opponents at this point of the season. I thought we came out focused and stamped it in the first half.''

Scottie Lindsey
Re: Career high 26 points. "I felt real good tonight. My teammates did a good job of finding me when I was open and I kept on being aggressive.''
Re: Starter or sixth man. "The coaches have told me to always be ready. I have to be a spark for this team. I watch what is happening on the court and see where I can fit in.''
Re: Team's 5-1 start. "This past week we've been showing we can play with a lot of teams. We have to be very careful right now and keep playing at the same level.''

It was great to give BMac and Tre some rest. Hopefully we can keep the pedal to the metal and continue to rest our starters for long stretches in the second half.

Lindsey scored 26. In all games prior to last night he scored a total of 29. Great to see his shot fall but he looked much better on defense to me and was more vocal on both ends. Maybe he just needed some turkey and stuffing to get him going.

Collins has a really quick hook this year. Really quick. He's completely upped the intensity of his in game coaching. Trying to mold a product that can get something done in conference.

Yep. Falzon got buried early on in the game last night.
