Wow. I was way off with that one...Not a Bye, but Penn State Week.

Let's try this again...

NU 14
PSU 23

NU has a rematch with Bye. After their last Bye week, they went into a a 3-game losing streak. And yet, they still are tied for the B1G West lead.

With the balance of the B1G Season ahead of them, they may have their last best hope at avoiding defeat....if not they can kiss they season, um...

Time to prognosticate if you dare...or care...

Bye 2
NU 3
Huh?

Lay off the WEEDUH

I'll see you a bye week and raise you a game.

White and blue 17
Black and blue 34

Offense comes alive, defense from the dead.
To keep their perfect B1G record? That's a nice thought.

I am not Impressed with any aspect of our game.
PSU. 41
NU 14

and I would not be surprised if it ends up even worse.

I'm the anti-Mike Fitz when predicting Cats' scores but I've lost hope in this year's team, actually more the coaches than the players.

Ped State, lots of points
Cats, not many

I'll toss out a few guesses:

* The over/under is 51 points. I'll take the over. With the weather being bad, PSU's RBs will be scoring on long runs, preventing the clock from running out. Theran Johnson is not going to catch Singleton from the other side of the field.

* If we're going to keep it close, which is unlikely, Hilinski will be on some kind of hot streak and our RBs will finally get some good carries. I don't see the NU defense holding up here.

* Mueller and Gallagher will play every snap. The few remaining fans will riot. Coaches will suggest that Mueller is a few mental errors away from putting it all together and just needs more snaps. Who's right?

My hope: no injuries, no back-breaking turnovers, lots of guys rotating at WR and DL in search of someone to break out.

We are jinxed for some reason and I hope we can break out of the spell.

Lions 52, Cats 17.

And Jim O'neil keeps cashing that hefty NU paycheck for another week of job well done (note: sarcasm meter drippingly on).

54-10 Nittany Lions. They are ready to compete with OSU for the title this season. The Wildcats need a miracle to surpass last season's abysmal record. I have a better shot at landing a Playmate though. The team is disorganized from top to bottom. Only hope is that PSU takes the game lightly and we come out on fire.

PSU 44, NU 13
Just don’t see us able to compete in this game. Looking for some positive indicators of improvement but this program is sliding downhill. Worried about injuries if this turns into a beat-down. This hurts because not a fan of Franklin either.
