I think you're not far off, unfortunately. I predicted back in August that Hilinski was going to really step up this year and take our offense back to solid and consistent productivity. We know how that has turned out - and why should it be different tomorrow (if he plays instead of Sully)?
I also predicted in early October that NU would put together one solid full team performance sometime this season, possibly win a second game.... and Purdue was our best chance to do that. We did that for a half against Maryland, but not a full game. It could still happen tomorrow - but I don't think so. I expect that "Good" Purdue will show up, the team that knocked off Illinois last week, focused and on their game, with the Big Opportunity that's now in front of them.
During the Dark Ages we would leave Dyche at halftime ( after the NUMB show) because hope had been extinguished. Today, the channel will probably be changed sometime in the 2Q
