Despite losing, Minnesota still getting more votes than Northwestern. In the AP Poll the Wildcats got 20 votes and in the Coaches 24.

An impressive win against Iowa may be the ticket to entry into the top 25.

Doubt it. We're going to have to do better than to beat two teams that would be a combined 0-4 (I'm assuming Maryland will continue to lose.
 
Assuming we win, I think there are two factors that determine whether we crack the top 25:

1. how dominant the win is over Io_a.
2. what happens to the other teams ranked 20-30.

I will predict that if we make into the top 25, it will be in the AP, not the coaches' poll. The press seems to catch on to when the Wildcats are good before the coaches do. (There are numerous stories of coaches delegating their voting duties to graduate assistants...)
