It’s tiresome to see the lament that Duke is besting us in recruiting. We should be winning more recruiting contests with Duke because the Wildcats have The Big Ten schedule on our side,
There is obvious worry on this board about Duke winning recruiting contests against NU. Looking at the Duke schedule, they have ONLY 3 ranked opponents and their first games are Elon, Middle Tennessee, and Connecticut. After that, they play what is a regional schedule. Young players looking for fame are rewarded by choosing NU, with a Big Ten schedule that includes coast to coast rivals in ALL the major media centers.
Are we exploiting the disparity as we should? Southern Cal, Oregon, Washington, UCLA or regional games in a small recognition area and with smaller audiences. Who would a phenomenal young Player want to match up against. We have to stop the “poor us” talk and use our advantages to the maximum.
