NU, Stanford cancel future games

This speaks to the difficulty of trying to get seven home games every year when you alternatively have five Big Ten road games. Without FCS games, that gets a lot tougher. Add in a Wrigley commitment and it really gets tricky.

Still seems short sighted. From a recruiting pool perspective and national visbility, Stanford would seem to be a non-con series to preserve. Of course, I also am biased since I'm now CaliCat, rather than RmndCat, and so I lose some rare opportunities to see the Cats close to home.

Games have to be cancelled and with the new 9 game BIG schedule, getting to a bowl game would be compromised by having more than one Big 5 game OOC. And likely other Big 5 conferences will go the route of 9 conference games as well which will lead to further scheduling problems

I realize that one non-con game a year needs to be dropped, but in deciding which to keep, Stanford has advantages as "the challenging non-con game" along with 2 cupcakes.
