The Wrigley game will be an afternoon kick, but streaming only on Peacock.

Anybody know how peacock subscriptions work? Can you PPV one game? I'll be at my Mom's and she still has cable

You have to buy a monthly subscription. No free trials, no individual games. But yeah, it's $6 for one month and you can immediately cancel.

Asking seriously (as a 35 year STH), what is NU doing wrong here in your opinion?
The Wrigley Field experiment should end. However, I believe they have a 5 game contract to fulfill. I went to the Illinois game. That was fun, except of course the outcome. The Nebraska game in Ireland was not for the usual fan. I just get tired of losing a quality home game. I enjoy tailgating and everything else on game day at NU and just feel cheated.

The counterargument would be that Wrigley games generate valuable publicity. But if a tree falls in a forest that's only seen on Peacock ...

I get it, I enjoy the Dyche/Ryan experience as well. I realize I bring a slightly different perspective in that I'm also Cubs STH and I'm looking forward to getting back to Wrigley. NU did have the sense to schedule this year's game with Iowa which has resulted in a full house (unlike the Purdue game).

Tailgating is a blast but nothing wrong with sitting in G-Man pre-game either lol.

The football in a baseball stadium thing is very over. It happens several times a year in multiple cities and iconic venues. There are now multiple annual bowl games in baseball stadiums. No one cares anymore. If they want to play games in Wrigley, so be it, but it moves the needle nationally exactly zero.

It was fun and unique in 2010…but that was 13 years ago.

It was never was fun in my opinion, but it was unique. I would never enter the friendly confines again for a football game having attended the Illinois farce where my wife and I couldn't see much of anything and nearly froze to death.

Hard to get worked up over Wrigley one way or the other. Yeah, it isn't an ideal place to watch football. But Ryan Field is pretty terrible too and is being torn down (for good reason). We'll play at Wrigley a bunch over the next two years. Then we probably won't play there at all once the new stadium is built.

I'm with you but not a STH. I am skipping the Wrigley game (de facto Iowa home game) and am going to our Madison game instead. Closer to me and an actual football stadium.

I agree, but that doesn't mean I'll be attending any games there, because I won't. Football at Ryan field is OK as is, primarily because I can hook up with my old pals at our tailgate in the West Lot, which I'll be doing on Saturday. Also, great seats are very easy to come by. None of that is available at Wrigley.

Froze my ass off at that game...
But I did get to meet the crew from GameDay and go on their motorhome to warm up.

Yet another reason given for not attending NU games.

It did first time but not sure it has garnered any valuable publicity the last couple

At least today it will be 59 degrees. Probablyy still freeze in Wrigley

Sorry but Ryan is a good place to watch a game. Great sightlines. And tailgating is an option,. Wrigley terrible for watching the game and very expensive by comparison. Costs double plus no tailgating so that means the expense of Wrigleyville. Plus if I want to go to an Iowa home game rather just go to Iowa City

The man comes in from Erie PA every year to attend games! Pretty sure he isn’t looking for excuses to NOT attend. BTW, he is right! The venue sucks for football,
Not only does the venue suck for football, but the condition of the field was deplorable. The field was meant for baseball players, not 300 plus pound offensive and defensive linemen. I have never seen such a mess in a college football game, even in miserable weather.
