I just got off the phone with three-star DE Elijah Satchell. Here are a few notes:
- He's definitely going to take his remaining official visits before making a decision. We knew he had OVs to Kentucky and NC State scheduled, but he also just set one to Stanford. That hasn't been announced yet, but he's going to post it later today, probably. So NU will no longer be the only "academic school" on his list.
- He was very impressed by the coaches and players at NU. He told me he can see himself at NU and playing for the coaches. His host was Anto Saka -- he's the player that he reminds Coach Smith and Coach Braun of. He said that NU "definitely" strengthened its case in his eyes. It was his first time on campus and also his first official visit.
- Coach Smith and Coach Braun encouraged him to take his other officials and told him there will always be a home for him at NU. He talked the most about Smith and Braun -- if he winds up a Cat, they will be the main reasons.
