Now its really time to panic!!!!!! The team is in crisis!!!

Actually, this might be an attempt to get Joey VZ going. I like it! Falzon gets the starting nod as well as Lindsey with BMac and Vic.

Cats on fire - out to an early 15-3 lead. Lindsey scores the first 8 points and Falzon nails a couple triples!

JvZ on the board with a dunk.

Just in case people don't want to click here to follow it themselves.

Cats now up 16. Must be because their N is all purple today.

Starting JvZ was a good idea. Has 14 points so far as the Cats are up by 32 after 3 quarters. I wonder if this is the exact same group that Nebraska played?

48 point win. Now that was convincing. I guess the jet lag is behind them! If this is indeed the same squad that Nebraska squeaked by by 15 points, then get your transitive property equations ready!

The name is the same.

That sounds great! I hope the Olah benching is just Collins living up to his promise that everyone would get minutes on the trip and there is no drama.

Here's a summary of the game, including a shot of JVZ dunking.

Cats en fuego in Spain

Only 8-34 from three-point range, but a 57-23 edge in rebounding. Certainly not a typical Wildcat box score.

The international line is nearly 1.5 feet longer on the perimeter and 11 inches deeper in the corners.

True enough, but 8 for 34 is still not good, and the free-throw percentage wasn't all that hot, either. But the rebounding stats were encouraging as I can't remember a game recently where NU dominated the boards, even against relatively poor opposition.

Man, if Scottie Lindsey can go off for 20+ points on given nights, this team is going to be loaded. I am getting even more pumped for the season. Falzon also added 15 for a second double digit scoring night in as many games. Loaded!!

Based on the pictures of the other team, it doesn't seem like they had too much size, would not be surprised if Collins gave Olah the game off so he could see what the others had to offer

Just a theory, I know nothing

Sure hope that's all it is.

If Olah doesn't play today, the snake-bitten history of being a 'Cats fan will have me worried.

There is a short video of him dribbling a soccer ball on the basketball Facebook page. He seems fine.

Not bad at it, either, for someone his size.

There's some serious money in that Real Madrid facility. Bet the kids loved it.

Cats en fuego in Spain
As stated in another thread, Eurocolegio Casvi -- like Murcia II --- has most recently competed in Spain's Liga EBA, which is the FOURTH layer of pro basketball in Spain.
This would be like single A baseball compared to MLB.
So, let's face it, the cats aren't facing stellar competition (or remotely close to it).
