About the best I can say is that the defense didn't quit. That was rough.

The scary thing is that we are not bowl eligible yet. This offense had better improve or we aren't going to win too many more.

That's going a bit far. Plenty of beatable teams left on the schedule.

And I'll give credit where credit is due: Michigan is much better than I gave them credit.

Another typical internet overreaction. Did you happen to see Minnesota play today? Well, last week some of the geniuses in their fanbase were chicken littling like they were not going to win another game all season. Don't be one of them.....

I think we'll be fine in the long run...but even if we only lose one more game this season, it's frustrating to fast-forward to December and listen to Fitz sweep this loss and the "stats are for losers" mantra under the rug while touting a "10 win team." When you lose like this, it should be a wake up call. 10-2 puts in a game like the Citrus Bowl against an LSU or Alabama. Don't "flush it." Face it and fix it.

Next week will tell a lot. We have Iowa and Michigan has a beat up MSU. We need to bounce back and win, and Michigan should beat a beat up MSU team. We got our butts kicked in the trenches.

I stick my neck out and say that UM is the best team we will play this year, maybe by far. I wouldn't over-react.

That is a problem then, because Michigan may not be the best team in the East. They may not be the second best in the East. If we are going to compete for a BIG title, we need to beat Michigan

I will take UM over MSU next week, and if they played OSU right now give them a very good chance. But Meyer's teams seem to peak at year end so who knows what that game will bring in Nov. We are clearly not in their class right now but the teams in the West are beatable.

In the bigger picture people need to take a deep breath. College football results are highly variable week to week. Take Texas for example. Last week they looked terrible and a lot of dopey pundits had Charlie Strong fired. Most of them are know-nothing's in the national media but for some reason they have followings. Then UT goes out and not only beats OU but really pretty much dominates them. Point is that college football is volatile and highly unpredictable. Let's see how the Cats respond next week. Today we got jumped and things spiraled out of control.

"Flush it" pertains to psychological and emotional aspects of a loss rather than ignoring actual execution problems we're having.

Do you seriously think Fitz just ignores the tape and doesn't aggressively address any issues from the loss in practice?

Maybe Fitz says these things because he's annoyed that fans think he doesn't address issues. We're only halfway through the season and have as many wins as we had in the last two seasons.
