Hey folks. Thought this would be a nice change of pace after yesterday afternoon. I was listening to the Bears game (not watching). After scoring the TD and leading by one with 18 seconds left in the game, the Bears had a choice to kick an extra point or go for 2.

Does the clock run during 2 point conversion attempts? If so, why not take the ball and run back to the opposite 10 yard line? No points would have been scored by the Chiefs, the Bears could have ticked off at least 10 seconds, maybe more if they played a good game of keep away, then they would have kicked off the ball. As it was, it was a very scary ending, with JMaclin ready to create another heart break.

This I do know I think. 2 points. Also, 2 points for a blocked extra point attempt returned for a TD. Last year Nick Van Hoose did it against Notre Dame which was a big swing in the game, assuming this is the same for college and pros.

So if you are really paranoid, you take a knee on the conversion!

I thought the Bears could have run a better play on their conversion attempt, which tried to isolate Forte on the edge in the flat. The Chiefs blitzed anfpd forced a low throw but I don't think Forte had much of a chance. Would rather see a jump ball in the corner.

It is not returned for a TD but for a 2 pt conversion.
