OT - Early women's game

Much needed, Unlike the men's team this year, there WERE high expectations for the women; but it has been a lost season thus far,

I must admit I have not seen the NU women play yet but I did see a little bit of the Iowa game before the NU men's game last night on BTN. I watched for 10 minutes-that's all I could take. Was the Iowa game typical of the women's game ?

Our typical game involves massive 4th quarter fades due to the fact that our "Big four" become tired, and we have zero depth, none, zilch. Don't recall if the Iowa game was like that, but that is our typical game.

I watched a little bit of the NU v Minnesota game-a double OT loss. This game was more entertaining than the above game that i mentioned.

NU continually let a great shooter have space and she eventually scored 60 points in the game. A taller defender would have stopped her cold. She was a pure shooter and much less effective driving-play her tight and if she drives that was the lesser threat.

Yesterday's game was the most entertaining game, men's or women's that I have seen at Welsh Ryan this year. Seeing the all time NCAA women's record of 60 points tied was amazing. The Lady Cats missed two shots at the end of regulation and missed a three pointer that went in and out at the end of the first OT. Great game, bad result. It was my first women's game this year. My daughter and granddaughters had a great time.

She averages 25 a game, but when she hits her average, let alone 30, 40, 50, you start wondering why NU didn't make someone else shoot the ball. Anybody else.
