OT: IL WR Dudek tears ACL in practice

This is as I would expect, people here are very good sports fans. You have to feel for any kid who gets hurt regardless of the college. I think this is actually a bigger loss than Christian because that kid was insanely good and quick. He was literally open 24 7 against us. I hope he heals and comes back strong. Once kudos and props. to the guys on this site for being great sports fans.

Really sorry to see this...Dudek is a fun guy to watch on the field, hope he makes a full recovery.

If the Illini go 5-7 this year, do you think the Dudek injury buys the entire staff another year of employment?

That's too bad for the kid. He has busted his butt to get where he is today. I hope he has a full and quick recovery. He has been fun to watch...sort of like a fast BMusso.

Class kid, too, from what I've heard and seen. Very easy to pull for a kid like this. Hope this doesn't turn into an endless Derrick Rose-type thing for him.

I would doubt it. With and ACL tear, the absolute minimum would be about 6-7 and more likely 8 months after surgery which would be Nov.. But with the cuts required in that position it would likely take longer. CW was at 8 months and he wasa shadow of his former self. If he has a RS available, he would be better to sit this one out.

If they get several more injuries to go along with Dudek, perhaps.

Sorry to see any young man get that type of injury.
