A buddy of mine is really dialed into NDSU. He tells me to pound the over in the NDSU Mont. game today. The number is met at half time 49 points. 28 to 21 NDSU at the half.

Outcome must have been a bummer for your buddy. Hell of a game, tho. Mitigated only slightly by Musburger's doddering play-by-play. I guess they had to trot him out because of his Montana connections.

Anyway, I'm sure the Bison will be there, deep into the playoffs.

It was a great game. My wife just came back from the States and set up one of those Slingbox thingies. She then got a friend who is much more knowledgeable about such things than I (read that: younger) to set it up here. This gives me access to all the ESPNs and the B1G Network which I pay for. So I was able to watch the game live.

In case you are wondering, the fact that my wife got this all done one week before the start of college football season is another reason that she is the BEST WIFE EVER!

Yep, I'm sure he was. Didn't see the game but the box score made it seem as though Montana beat them pretty well, they just couldn't cash in on a couple of short yardage TDs and had to settle for field goals. The win though on the last play of the game had to be awesome if you like Montana.

Best game I have seen in a long while. Entertaining to the end. Where do these teams find athletic guys 6'6" tall? Both quarterbacks looked more than ready to start for NU.

After reading the newest Krakauer book (Missoula), everything about the Grizz program bugs me. I was rooting hard against them yesterday.

There was an ESPN article this past week about the new coach at Montana - supposedly an offensive genius that many programs including BCS programs and NFL teams have learned plays from. He will do well at Montana.

Interesting to note that after NDSU beat five straight Division 1A teams, no big school wanted to schedule them for this year!

Catreporter, yes they have. Good team that's for sure, but I had to laugh at one of their fans yesterday. His comment was something like this in a forum I was reading. "This is big boy football in the MVC" I chuckled when I read that as the Missouri Valley Conference is hardly "Big Boy Football."
