2 or 3 or 4 months in, I'll say that I officially like the new rivals message board layout.
- The mobile view is easily scannable.
- Snapping to where you last read in a thread - whether on a phone or computer - is great and a value-added feature
- the desktop view adds information that is not necessary but adds value
- the auto quote Is convenient and adds to the ease of following a thread
- I LOVE the like button, because it's nice to give and receive affirmation, no matter how insignificant
Things I miss
- I did like changing subject lines as they evolve, though the quote feature mitigates that loss
I'm not sure if it's my phone or the system
- I can't paste a link from my phone. I don't have this problem anywhere else (texting links, adding to email) from my phone
I don't ignore anyone, probably because I don't value my time enough, so i can't comment on that feature.
New website and feature rollouts are HARD. I think that Rivals/Yahoo nailed it.
