OT: Rock song about college football gambling

Consider this an endorsement of The Hold Steady, just about the closest thing that exists to peak-era (“Born to Run”, that is) Springsteen.

On their latest record, album cut “City at Eleven” is a song about a down on his luck gambler trying to make up a day’s losings by getting the Hawaii pick right. It’s about a lot of other things too.

“He hung up everything he had in the Rainbows / It was the only game left that’s on that late.”

Bummer about the Tigers scoring in the fourth quarter on an island in the middle of the ocean.

Other Hold Steady songs are better, and Boys and Girls in America is one of the great records OF THE MILLENNIUM, but this is the only one mildly relevant.
