Anyone else extremely irritated by the woman Rockets fan with the metronome “Lets go Rockets”cheer? I had to turn off the sound.
You're lucky if that's what irritated you the most about that game. The Warriors are good, but Draymond should have been tossed early. He punched Harden in the throat, got only a T, and then mouthed off to the refs the rest of the game, knowing they wouldn't dare give him the second T.Anyone else extremely irritated by the woman Rockets fan with the metronome “Lets go Rockets”cheer? Wonder how many women basketball fans this board can complain about.

Draymond is the straw that stirs the drink! You're lucky if that's what irritated you the most about that game. The Warriors are good, but Draymond should have been tossed early. The Warriors are good. Durant is almost impossible to defend. It's going to be tough for any team to get four wins against them, but crazier things have happened.
The most painful thing for me to watch is Houston's isolation offense. This is the battle of a team who moves the ball around about as well as anyone against isolation after isolation.Anyone else extremely irritated by the woman Rockets fan with the metronome “Lets go Rockets”cheer? I think this will be a gentleman’s sweep as GS wins in 5.The most painful thing for me to watch is Houston's isolation offense. This is the battle of a team who moves the ball around about as well as anyone against isolation after isolation.
I hope you're wrong!I think this will be a gentleman’s sweep as GS wins in 5.
I've read your second sentence several times now and don't understand what you're saying. The most painful thing for me to watch is Houston's isolation offense. This is the battle of a team who moves the ball around about as well as anyone against isolation after isolation.
Yes you are correct in what I was "trying" to say. The Rockets isolateI've read your second sentence several times now and don't understand what you're saying.
Unless it's something more complicated, I think he just meant one team (Warriors) utilizes active ball movement via passing while the opponents (Rockets) rely more on 1-on1 isolation play to get shots.
I can't comment on how accurate that assessment is, but believe that's what the poster had in mind.
The Celtics have been incredible. To think, this is a team that has lost two All-Stars along the way this season... the two guys they were counting on to carry this franchise... and they are still creeping ever closer to the NBA finals.Celtics continue to surprise. Stevens is probably the best coach in the NBA.
I think this quote from Deadspin captures it all very nicely:Yes you are correct in what I was "trying" to say. The Rockets isolate
I think this quote from Deadspin captures it all very nicely:
"...It makes me sick that an NBA team won 65 games and made the conference finals with these bullshit anti-basketball dribble-dribble-dribble solos as the foundation of its attack— (Paul's) were just as annoying as James Harden’s but exponentially more pointless and embarrassing, just these sad, flat-footed wastes of time, leading in virtually all cases either to a contested desperation jumper or to a harmless pump-fake and an awkward dump-off pass with not enough time left on the shot-clock to do anything worthwhile."
I hope the series is a good one for your sake, but I think the bear has been poked.Funny, that sounds more like a description of NU basketball than that of a high caliber NBA team. Harden is the likely MVP, who is deadly with both the step back three and the drive to the basket. They run isolation plays because they're effective, plus he can dish to Capela or pass back out to open guys on the perimeter if double teamed. And if you think it's "pointless and embarassing", then you underestimate the brilliance of their GM (Morey), who is a NU grad (and bleeds purple)!
The Rockets looked much better tonight. More energy, better ball movement, hitting open threes. Blowout victory over the "superior" Warriors. This series will be a good one.
Or...the bear is the Rockets and was poked in game one. Maybe?I hope the series is a good one for your sake, but I think the bear has been poked.
Gentleman's sweep, heh?I think this will be a gentleman’s sweep as GS wins in 5.
Congrats, I was wrong.Gentleman's sweep, heh?
I have to admit that I had never heard that term before, but I kind of like the ring of it.
Maybe not the stars the league wants but two of the larger markets and I for one am not interested in Cavs v Warriors part 4, I would think ratings will be fine with some new blood,Congrats, I was wrong.
GS really misses Iggy. Who would have thought that. Reminds me of often overlooked Sanjay impact.
Now if Boston can beat LeBron, we are in business. The league offices are going to be pissed.
Watching the one guy dribbling for the shot clock not looking to pass and then taking a lousy last second shot... Ugly. The most painful thing for me to watch is Houston's isolation offense. This is the battle of a team who moves the ball around about as well as anyone against isolation after isolation.
