Other B1G Games

I'm watching Iowa vs. ILL. They are fairly evenly matched so far, but the tide is turning toward the Hawkeyes.

Neither of these teams are scary in the least. Indiana/PSU is even uglier. OSU still isn't looking great either.

Illinois has had a few explosion plays on offense to pad the numbers. I'm thinking that Iowa is having some issues with schemes and assignments.

Canzeri had a beautiful run on a screen to score. He reminds me a bit of JJ in stature and quick feet, but lacking JJs smoothness.Beathard has made some good throws and some inaccurate ones.

Iowa looks very beatable. Illinois is not the dumpster fire we thought they'd be; Cubit is a decent coach.
IA does enough to win. His deep ball was impressive. We have to contain him so he cannot extend the play.

In previous opponent action, Dookies are rolling, 27-0 over Army

Why would you think Illinois would be a dumpster fire? They were a bowl team last year and beat NU. Lots returning. Illinois would be very dangerous with Mikey Dudek playing and is also hurt with a Ferguson out. But there is talent in this team.

Had a chance to win today. Had ball with three minutes and three time outs down 6. Freshman lost a fumble.

Watching NU this year, I have not thought they were very scary, either. Very beatable.

When the head coach gets fired the week before the season starts, you know something is amiss. Yes, we just got blown out by Michigan and Harbaugh, but Illinois got blown out by a mediocre North Carolina team. I watched part of the Illinois game today, and while the d-line looked decent, there were some serious coverage problems with the secondary.

North Carolina is expected to be better than Duke and Pitt by many in ACC Coastal.

Illinois is improved over 2014.

I doubt UNC is better than Duke this year. And Illinois might be improved over 2014, but they're still a mediocre football team. They gave us 256 rushing yards to Jordan Canzeri. Seriously? If he rushes for half that against us next week, I'll be upset.

Duke is a far better program then N.Carolina and the rest of their pre-season games were against far inferior talent. They might win one more game this season. Purdue?

RB Jordan Canzeri rush 26 times for 125 yards at Wisconsin. It is his third 100-yard rushing game this season, and the fifth of his career. He followed it up with 256 against Illinois, with his 9th rush TD and 10th TD was by reception.

Look who is leading Big Ten in rushing after first 2 games ...

And it ends with more Husker heartbreak. It's most of the 2012 and 2013 losses for me, all over again.

Nebraska seems to be 'snake bit ' this year. They have had their share of bad luck. Husker Nation must be going a little crazy right 'bout now.
