Chicago kid Quincy Patterson starting at QB. We had recruited him as a SB, but Tech was the only power school to offer him as a QB.
The Irish fumbled at the Tech 1, and the Hokies ran it back.

Good grief. Tech has ND pinned at the 1. ND converts a third and 8 for a first down, then a five yard run loss is negated by a targeting call. Then a deep throw gets intercepted, but it’s roughing the QB on Tech. Then another roughing. Then another third down conversion. Then a fourth down conversion. Then a defensive holding call.
This drive has had more lives than a cat.

Illinois not winning 31 to 10 blowout. They're much better team than people give them credit for.
They are better than us this year and that makes me sad/angry. Momentum is a real thing, just ask the Cats last year. I am nowhere near ready to call them a good team.
