Our three pointers on NU's loss to Purdue

Excellent summary of the game, its meaning, and the implications going forward.

It almost felt like the Wildcats were taking one for the "team" Big Ten. The Big Ten's overall stature raised a notch with their regular season champion being able to end the regular season with a win.

That said, I won't have any problem with the Cats beating the Makers in the BTT.

Our seats are in the lower bowl and we had to ask a six-deep group of people blocking the aisle to let us through.

At a break in the action I looked around and saw standing room only fans circling the entire arena shoulder to shoulder. I don't think the Evanston FD was there.

Nojel Eastern and his mom sat in front of us. He's a very nice young man. I told his mom that the round trip drive to Purdue isn't as bad as having a wisdom tooth removed but I'm not sure she heard me.

The Purdue fans around me were pleasant, respectful people.

I couldn't hear a thing even an hour after the game.

Oh, speedo guy....didn't work this time, but sure was fun.
