Once again. It’s not going to happen.

    So over then.

What an absolute disaster. This could have been us. And still could be.

You are right. It should happen but it won’t because we have an incompetent psychopath in the White House.

Wishful thinking. Why would Trump order this?

It will either happen because Trump does it, or because everyone is forced to. How about this: if over 75% of the States order a new lockdown, it will count as a lockdown.

It’s a longshot, but maybe the president will start to feel bad that the United States’ uniquely weak federal response to the virus has resulted in hundreds of thousands of deaths.

I realize this is unlikely. He neither acknowledges mistakes nor cares about others.

If it happens, it won’t be for the reason above.

LOL, that’s a good one. Even after 3.5 years of this shit people still think Trump is capable of redemption. It’s a pipe dream!

False hope. And the media treats him as though he still has credibility.

I had a friend say something similar yesterday - "Oh, maybe he's regretting being President now."

    No, he is not.

Should’ve given you a sarcasm tag. As I have said before, and continue to believe, the president has mourned not one dead person. If his children died, he would not mourn them. He doesn’t care about them, except to the extent that they help his own business interests.

The president only cares about this pandemic to the extent that it hurts his re-election chances.

Oh, hell no. A man who only lives for money and power is arguably the most powerful person in the world- it's his dream job. He's a terrible President and leader, but I guarantee you he doesn't think that. I genuinely believe he thinks he does a great job and is the best President the country has ever had.
