I'm willing to give Fitz a mulligan for last year, although McCall should have been gone years ago. No way to predict the QB fiasco of last year - Hunter/OL struggles coupled with TJ season ending injury. we wouldn't have won the West but with even passable QB play, say 12 TD's instead of 6, we probably win 2 or 3 more games. Not great, not a disaster. And the strategy was sound - brought in Hunter a year before CT graduated, with TJ in reserve.

I am cautiously optimistic - Defense remains solid, OL solidifies, QB play improves. Much more fun to watch. Presuming the quarantine ends, that is.

I agree with your main points. On paper, HJ was the perfect successor to Clayton. TJ also was coming on as a capable second option after gaining experience the previous season when Clayton was on a pitch count recovering from the ACL surgery. In fact, I firmly believe we would've beaten Stanford if TJ hadn't gotten hurt. And as you said, won several more games.

If Ramsey stays healthy, we will be back on top again.
