Please don't foul a three point shooter.

Bad things can happen.

It wasn't the only bad thing he did tonight. That awful 3, getting beat back to the other end of the floor multiple times, not closing out on multiple other threes, and let's not forget whatever that weak attempt at a layup was at the end of regulation.

A lot of other players get the brunt of message board posters here, but to me the real story is Gavin's significant regression from last year to this year.

I did not want to "like" the post, but frankly your post is truthful. Tonight was little different from his stupid, silly fouls over the last four years. He does have a better 3 point shot, but the numbskull plays outweigh his shooting.

That sounds a lot like how he played last year, he just didn't get as much playing time. He's always been a hopeless, confused defender.

I think this is well said. He’s a good energy bench guy getting starter minutes. He’s being asked to do more than he should be based of our lack of big man depth. I fault our lack of development in other players more than I fault him.

Agreed. And I like him on the offensive end for the most part. But defensively, yikes.

I seem to recall him walling up a LOT more as a defender last year, with virtually none of that this year. He has only 15 blocks so far this season. Last year? 44....

Me too. People In my section at WR last year nicknamed him Wall.

That's a fair point, he was better at the rim last year. I'm not sure how much of that is down to scheme vs. regression but the numbers are down significantly.

Kind of an eye-opening stat right there. And this in more minutes, to boot . . .

Thought that foul was the game. Up by six and under a minute. Bit of a rushed shot. And he hits his arm. Just incredible.
